By-Elections: Two Ad-hoc Staff Missing As INEC Declare Inconclusive Polls in Zamfara

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has declared Inconclusive  the Bakura local government House of Assembly by-election in Zamfara.

The declaration followed the missing of two ad-hoc staff of the commission in the state.

Addressing newsmen on Sunday morning, Professor Ibrahim Magawata  the returning Officer for the by election said, the election results of some polling units in Bakura ward have been cancelled, the cancelled poling units have a total number of 11,429 votes.

The by election conducted on Saturday in the state, saw the PDP candidate, Alhaji Ibrahim Tudu  scoring the total number of 18645 votes, while the APC candidate, Alhaji Bello Dankande Gamji scored 16464 votes.

A  new date  would be announce for the inconclusive by-election in the state.
