FG Lauds $400k Grant To SEC By The AfDB

The Federal Government of Nigeria through the Director General of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Dr. Lamido Yuguda, has lauded the efforts of the African Development Bank, AfDB, in signing a $400, 000 grant with Nigeria’s Securities and Exchange Commission to strengthen securities market regulation.

The Federal Government disclosed in a statement on Sunday, stating that the grant would be used to broaden market instruments.

The SEC DG, Dr. Lamido Yuguda said: “This collaboration further underscores our mutual goal to grow our markets and create viable avenues for sustainable economic development for Nigeria and the region.”

It was earlier reported that Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the African Development Fund (ADF) the concessional arm of the African Development Bank, signed a loan agreement of 73.6 billion Japanese yen ($668.1 million) to support the 15th replenishment of the African Development Fund (ADF-15).
