Four suspected criminals were arrested yesterday for allegedly attacking one of the Police Area Commands located at Ngbo community in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
The hoodlums were reported to have attacked a commander, but his name isn’t known yet as of this report.
The hoodlums were arrested through a joint effort of the police and the Technical Assistant to the Ebonyi State governor on security at the Ngbo community in Ohaukwu LGA of Ebonyi State.
We gathered that the suspected hoodlums attacked the Ngbo Area Command and attempted to take away some properties belonging to the police.
Luck ran out of them when the Ngbo Central Security Organization led by Mr. Leonard Igwe took some TA’s to conduct a serious investigation on the incident. This led to the arrest of the hoodlums.
Responding to the incident, the Executive Chairman of Ohaukwu Local Government Area, Barr. Clement Odah said the arrested suspect had been handed over to the police for the investigation to continue.
“I write to report that the leader of one of my security outfits, Ngbo Central Security Organization, led by Mr. Leonard Igwe with the support of TAs on security, has arrested four suspects in connection with the attack of the Area Commander. All have been handed over to the DPO,” he stated.
When contacted, the Ebonyi State Police Command spokesperson, DSP Loveth Odah, said she hadn’t been properly briefed on the issue.
But she said she would make all details available when the Ngbo area command briefs her.
Further investigation revealed that two AK 47 riffles were recovered from the suspected hoodlums.
