The account of the United States President Donald Trump, on YouTube has been suspended.
Google owned YouTube temporarily banned the President’s channel from uploading new videos or livestreams after an earlier content from him violated policies for inciting violence, the company said late on Tuesday.
YouTube said, Trump’s channel cannot upload for a minimum of seven days – which may be extended, and the offensive content had been removed, Youtube said in a statement.
Although YouTube did not give details about the video that prompted the move, It stated however that, “After careful review, and in light of concerns about the ongoing potential for violence, we removed new content uploaded to the Donald J. Trump channel and issued a strike for violating our policies for inciting violence,” a YouTube spokesperson said in a statement to CNN.
The video-sharing platform also said it would be “indefinitely disabling comments” on Trump’s channel because of safety concerns, AFP reports.
