The Emir of Zazzau, Ambassador Ahmed Nuhu Bamali, has appointed Hon. Abbas Tajuddeen, Member Representing Zaria Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives as the new Iyan Zazzau to replace the late Alhaji Bashir Aminu, who died on Friday.
It was gathered that the emir also elevated Alhaji Munir Jafaru, one of the contenders of the Zazzau throne from Yeriman Zazzau to Madaki.
Confirming the appointments, the Chief Protocol of Zazzau Emirate, Alhaji Abubakar Ladan, said the Madakin Zazzau is the second most important title holder in terms of hierarchy.
The emir also appointed Abdulkarim Bashir Aminu, the son of the late Iyan Zazzau to fill the vacant position of Talban Zazzau, which was occupied by the late Alhaji Abdulkadir Iya-Pate, who also died on Friday.
The position of Dan Iya went to Justice Munir Ladan while that of Magajin Garin Zazzau went to the emir’s younger brother, Mansur Nuhu Bamali, who earlier held the title of Barde Kerarriya.
The title of Sa’in Zazzau went to Idris Ibrahim Idris; Barden Zazzau was given to Shehu Tijjani.
Aminu Iya Sa’idu was appointed as Kogunan Zazzau; Bashar Abubakar, was given io Barden Kudu and Buhari Aminu Ciroma got Barde Kerarriya.
The emirate’s Chief Protocol Officer, Alhaji Abubakar Ladan said appointment letters had been given to the new appointees.
